Accident Summary:
WHILE ON EXTRACTION OF AN EIGHT MAN RECON ELEMENT ON A LADDER EXTRACT, ONE OF
THE TEAM STEPPED IN THE GUNNERS MIKE CORD DISCONNECTING IT FROM HIS HELMET.
BEFORE HE WAS ABLE TO RECONNECT HIS MIKE CORD,THE MAIN ROTOR BLADE STRUCK A
TREE. WHILE THE GUNNERS CORD WAS DSSCONNECTED, THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED
APPROXIMATELY 5 FEET. THE AIRCRAFT WAS AT A HOVER OFAPPROXIMATELY SEVENTY
FEET.
