Comment: This was the 3rd unit of 3, I was assigned to in Viet Nam =from Sept. of 1971 to 1972. The summer (I'm Floridian born and bred) and still live here now. (Tampa) though I now preside in Temple Terrace a sub city of Tampa. I found out about 10 years after the fact that it was called the Easter Offensive of 1972. One of the largest ever launched by the NVA. Was originally a helicopter repairman , I say mechanic but I understand now we are designated as technicians ( if you have a degree of some kind) and I think now you have to. Never had one myself dropped out in 9th grade. Merchant Marine, Army, A/C and refrigeration, office furniture, and the Veterans Affairs. Retired now. I loved shooting an M60 from the air. Welcome Home it,s about time.

Comment: To Charles L. -- You have to come to the reunion in August you will not regret it. It is extremely hard to take that first step after all those years, but afterwards you can hardly wait 2 years for the next one. I know I've been through it! This will be my 5th reunion, before that I thought the 57th was only a distant memory but the 57th was bigger than you ever imagined. Several hundred will show up at the reunion from all over the country. You also have the nice advantage of being close to it this time. Definitely bring your wife, the women enjoy it just as much and have a reunion of their own. Ken

Comment: Good morning ya'll . I tried the facebook thing but could not get on to post so I'll try this, sorry if I am doing wrong. I was 19 when I completed my tour and have not seen or talked to anyone since. I am only about 3 hrs from Possum Kingdom and am thinking about going to the reunion. I have questions like, will I know people afterover 40 yrs. will anybody even be there from 1972. These may be questions that only going will answer. Any comments would be helpful, I do not type and this took forever. As the tower always said HAPPY FLT AND SAFE RETURN.

Comment: I was assigned to the 57th in 68 and 69. I was curious if there was anything in the works for a yearbook for those years. It seems that there is very little published about those years. My best to all you Gladiatiors and Cougars
