| Comment: | Very nice site and extremely well done! I wish we had a yearbook during my service with the 57th. I was one of the originals from Ft. Bragg in 67'. I was transferred into the 57th from the 82nd Airborne Div., when the 57th was being put together. I deployed to Vietnam with the advanced party. Served as a gunner on both slicks and gunships. After being wounded, I was assigned POL,RTO in Operatiions, and finished up doing compound security in Kontum with elements of the 3/8, 4th Inf Div., that were sent to us from Camp Enari in Pleiku. Went home in Oct. 68. I am proud to have served with the brave men of the 57th. I wish all of you the best that life can offer. You've earned it! | |
