| Comment: | When the 57th arrived in Vietnam on Oct 67, I was one of a handful of guys, already in country, transferred to this new company. I was wounded during the sapper attack on the compound on the night of January 10, 1968. The wound was serious enough to warrant medical transfer back to the states. | |

Itd good to put closure to an experience like this, but, i'v been to Theran, Iran, served 4 years with Boeing in Saudi Arabia, been all around the world with Boeing and DynCorp Intl so Viet Nam is but a stepping stone to my glorious career and achievements. 245 combat flying hours ovet the Ho Chi Min trail, Dak To, Ben hete and the other fights were training of what was to come. | Comment: | February 2019 issue of American Rifleman has an article on p. 44 by Major John Plaster regarding the CAR-15. It uses a photo of a SOG extraction by a 57th slick on the opening page.

| Comment: | I talked to Darrell Anthony for about 2 hours this morning and it really felt good to talk to someone that was there when the 57th was first organized. It a lot different than talking to someone that had no clue what your talking about. Still would like to hear from other gladiators. | |
